Hi everyone!

The end of semester is closer than ever, and I will be going back home in a couple of days.

My friend Carla from Mexico was with me last week, and we had an awesome weekend in NY city. We attended a Twisted Sister concert and we even met the band at the aftershow! We also went to the Met Museum and the Statue of Liberty. On Friday we went to Salem, before leaving I’ll be posting photos on that.

Here is something I promised: me falling (a little bit) in the ice!

Good luck in finals!

Another day, another drama

Hi everyone,

Last Saturday I went to New York to see the play Equus in Broadway, with my friends Silvia and Elodie. I have to say I enjoyed the play a lot. We had some very strange seats, raised on the stage, and we were literally some feet away from the actors, which was awesome. The play was very intense, and all performers did an exceptional job. As we just went for the play, before that we wandered around Soho, and then went to Times Square for lunch, at the Sbarro. After the play we went to Fifth Avenue because Elodie was looking for an item, and we passed the Rockefeller center. Then we did a little shopping in Times Sq. again, and had dinner in a messy McDonalds. Finally, we returned to Chinatown (that is where we took the bus), but before we went to Little Italy since some stores were still open. We took the bus at 10pm, and arrived Boston at 2am. It was a nice and calm trip back. I really enjoyed my Saturday, thanks to my friends for going!

In the pics: The stage of Equus at the end of the play (I felt very brave when taking the picture hehe), and the Christmas tree in construction, at the Rockefeller C.

You're not in Kansas anymore

Hi everyone!

Yesterday was Halloween!

I had a terrific adventure mainly with my friend Silvia. We spent some time in one of the rooms at the Hyatt with tons of people with great costumes. Then we went to a MIT frat party, which was not as cool as we thought. So we ended in a bar, with some other friends. It was crazy being out in the streets in such high heels, but it was worthy. We met a lot of cool people (or at least their looked cool in their costumes).

I also did some pumpkin carving on Thursday, but I don’t have those pics with me yet. I’ll post them later.

So, I think my costume is kind of obvious, but just one person actually guessed it right!! I was sad to hear things such as farm girl, school girl, even french maid?!? What was wrong with those guys.

Well, I hope you got it at a glance, see ya!

A little break

Hi everybody!

Sorry for not posting lately, but I’ve been a little bit sick. First I got a very ugly cold, and then I got an eye disease. But I’m getting better now, and I’ll be posting more of my adventures very soon!!

(Next is not for you, so don’t read it!)

-----

Dear professor Howland,

As you can see, I’ve been promoting my blog with my friends and relatives about my experiences at BU. These days I’ve been sick, so the topic of this post was about that. However I will also use it to: “ADD A CONTROL AS TO WHO CAN LEAVE COMMENTS - I would like to see a page with no edit ability and a page with edits.” So, in this post, people will not be able to leave comments.

Also, I hope you will not be very strict while grading our midterms, I was really sick last week!, I hope you will understand since you were sick last week as well. Thanks for your time.

Hello Kitty Hell

Hi everybody!

Last weekend, some friends and I visited Boston's Chinatown. It was crowded and gross, as these places usually are. However it was very small, which was kind of surprising (compared to San Francisco or New York's Chinatowns). Well the point is that I found a Hello Kitty Store and the devil took me there. I bought a bunch of stuff, I couldn't help it.

In the pics: Me, hypnotized by that fantastic, though smelly, Hello Kitty store.
Also, my current contact lenses case (I got this one before coming here, later I will post pics of the stuff I did bought this time).

Come on feel the noise!

Hi everyone!

I’m having a busy long weekend, so you would be hearing from me more often.

Yesterday was my friend Mary Paz’s b-day, so we went wild! Also, Chinatown was on the road, and I got a twisted, obsessing new hobby that I will share with you later on!

Right now is celebrity time. As many of you know, my sister Marcela is a model, so she’s featuring in Rice University Web site!

Well, she is not exactly a full-time model hehe; she just do selected jobs like this, because of her crazy MBA slave schedule.

Well, that’s it for now. Thanks for the comments, I read everything and think about each person that signs my blog five minutes a day. So get your five min in my mind and leave a couple of words!

Check my sis out: http://jonesgsm.rice.edu/jonesgsm/Default.asp

Cheers! (I’ve actually been there)

Lots of activities, lots of fun

Hi everyone!

Thank you for stopping by in my blog. I have a wonderful time here in Boston. This is my life by now:

  • Cool classes
  • No dinners!! (just some fruit)
  • Late-night gym sessions (very late!)
  • Very dangerous figure skating (someday I’ll post a video of me falling, I promise)
  • Some theater, of course
  • Loooong photo printing sessions
  • Some clubbing and expensive drinking ($12 bucks la cuba? No mames)
  • Very little city exploring (I have to do something about that!)
  • Chat, chat and chat with my roomy and my friends!

These are my plans in the short term:

  • Going to NY to see a play (1 day trip!)
  • Going to Salem in Halloween (I already got a costume, its awesome!)
  • Going to Rockefeller center in thanksgiving break (yes, NY)

Ok, I gotta go now because the MIT wireless I’m stealing is getting weak... hehe just kidding!! (actually it’s always strong lol)

Tomorrow I will have a special celebrity guest here at my blog, so… stay tuned!
