Still Bostoning...

Hi everybody!

My life has been quite calm these days. Everything is kind of a routine: wake up, go to class, then sleep more, then eat, then do some homework, then class, then loose time… then got to bed very late. The weather though, is great. A little bit cool, with little rain. Delicious for me. Here is a pic my friend Silvia took from me, it’s great! Thanks Silvia!

A trip to the Waterfront

Last Tuesday, I visited with one of my classes a great place in the city: Boston's Waterfront. In this trip, I learned that Boston Harbor is one of the cleanest harbors in the USA and around the world. I know this fact not only because our professor told us so, but also because I confirmed it myself: since the moment we approached the water to board the boat, I saw natural sea water and just that.

Another thing I learned is how huge Boston is. I was in San Francisco for the summer, and although is a beautiful city, it is small compared to Boston. Boston Waterfront is just one of the many fantastic areas of the city. But there is also the Government Center, the Faneuil Hall and Marketplace, the financial district, Boston Common (with its Frog Pond), the Public Garden; lots of both, modern and historical buildings; and there is still a lot more to see in the side of the city we live (west), with more than 60 colleges!

The student world is another great mini-universe inside the many faces of Boston. Even though I’m just going to be here one semester, I hope to return one day to experience other Boston sides: maybe as a business person, a graduate student, or at least as a tourist hanging around in thi
s beautiful city.
